PANIC presents a wave-based augmented reality shooter set within the dilapidated cityscape of Neo Jadu, where the environment is increasingly affected by the Bloom—a mysterious energy source disrupting plant life and spawning monstrous entities.

The narrative involves extraterrestrial harvesters and a megacorporation attempting to weaponize the Bloom’s power. Players navigate this chaos with an unusual personal goal: recovering a cherished frog. The game introduces an immersive AR combat experience, with enemies appearing in the player's real-world environment, blurring the line between game and reality.

Spanning 30 surreal incidents across four diverse districts—including Frog Food Factories and Sunken Ruins teeming with cactus-based monsters—players engage in relentless combat while upgrading their weapons, gear, health, and even mutated pets. The narration adds a layer of engagement by chronicling successes and failures, enhancing the immersive experience.

Combatant adversaries range from Bloom-twisted zombies and drones to orchid-infested beasts and creatures with exaggerated dentition. The storyline involves missions such as rescuing Squish, following Void, finding Spitfire, all while avoiding transformation into an intern—highlighting the game's quirky yet intense tone.
